How the Health & Wellness Industry is Creating More Stress

As Taylor Swift would say, “It’s me, hi, I’m the problem, it’s me.”

The health and wellness industry is absolutely FLOODED with information. Just go on Instagram, Facebook or that Ticky Tock thing, and there is a constant stream of, “Eat this to lose belly fat,” or “6-week total transformation challenge,” or “How not to do a deadlift.”

My favorite is the stream of alternating videos from coaches and PTs disagreeing on topics based on the newest book they just read.

As a consumer, you’re left confused and unsure about what is right or wrong. You’re no closer to figuring out how to reach your goals; instead, you’re left feeling discouraged.

Raise your hand if you’ve been there!

I have both hands up (talented toe typer). Seriously though, I am exhausted by the amount of information thrown at me.

I’ve stopped scrolling, and for over a year, I left my fitness Instagram account in the dark. I wanted nothing to do with it, and even now, I’m cautious.

I don’t need the negativity or the doubt. It’s like a battle of who can debunk each other the most. What happened to just motivating individuals to find what works for them?

If you’ve stuck with me and my ranting for this long, I appreciate you. I want to bring the simple joys back to health and wellness. Forget about the stress; we have enough negativity in this world.

Let’s get back to the roots of fitness. We eat to fuel our bodies. We exercise to improve our quality of life. We implement self-care to worship these vessels that carry us through life.

These are the foundations of health and wellness. It’s that simple.

Let me be your tour guide through this crazy noise and help you find a wellness plan that fits your journey.
